This meat freezing works was opened in 1889 and closed down in 1987. When it closed there were 900 job losses, making a huge impact on the town that surrounds it. After many interesting explores here finding conveyor belts, old rotten meat, control panels and meat hooks the demolition of the freezing works is getting into it’s final stages, this would be our last visit here.
